Dental Implants

The Procedure

Dental implants are replacements for roots of missing tooth/teeth. They help restore either a single tooth or teeth or as a support for dentures. Implants are screws made from medical grade titanium which are surgically placed into the jawbone. The jawbone integrates into the threads of the implant allowing the implant to provide a solid foundation to support a cap/crown or as an attachment for dentures.

Assessing Your Suitability

A thorough assessment is needed to establish the health of the gums and jawbone to ensure suitability for implants. Then together with specialised radiographs to examine the bone, a tailored treatment plan can be developed.

Please note any surgical or invasive procedure involves risk. Before proceeding, you should seek an opinion from a suitably qualified health care professional.
